Faye Henderson, MPPA

Faye Henderson serves as the Foundation’s Executive Assistant and focuses on implementing day-to-day functions of the NASW Foundation.  She assists the Director and the team with administrative tasks and coordination of a wide range of Foundation projects and programs including scholarships and fellowships, the NASW Social Work Pioneers® Program and charitable activities.  She also serves as project lead on special programs, monitors and responds to inquiries, and disseminates information, maintains and nurtures relationships, provides coordination for Board meetings and special events, organizes international staff travel, assists with accounting and budgeting functions, and manages proposals and grants. 

Faye previously worked for five years as the Regional Administrative Officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI). At NDI, she provided administrative, financial, logistical, and operational support to the Civic Participation Program based in South Sudan.  Prior to joining NDI, Faye worked with the International Women’s Media Foundation, Exegesis Consulting, U.S. Government Public Printing Office, The American Bar Association, The Africa-America Institute, The World Bank, and Africare.  She provided administrative support to programs in Uganda and Ethiopia, where she also lived for several years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration.
