NASW Social Work Pioneers®
Geneva Johnson
Johnson is currently the president and chief executive officer of
Family Service America. She received a master's degree from Case Western Reserve
University's School of Applied Social Sciences. She has worked in numerous human services
positions eventually holding a series of local, state and national posts with the United
Way Foundation. At United Way, she helped to set health and welfare policy and was
responsible for strategic long-range planning.
She assumed her post with Family Service America in 1983, where she guides policy for
the nation's largest family service agency, which establishes the standard for family
social services throughout the country. |
