Bradford W. Sheafor
Bradford Sheafor, PhD, MSW, currently a Professor of Social Work at Colorado State University’s School of Social Work, has demonstrated excellence in research, scholarship, and professional leadership spanning the past 50 years.
His scholarly focus on the social work profession is nationally recognized. He co-authored the textbook “Techniques and Guidelines for Social Work Practice, “ now in its 9th edition and “Quality Field Instruction in Social Work” which is considered a landmark publication in strengthening the knowledge base underpinning field education.
Dr. Sheafor’s educational achievement also extends to international levels and he has served on the Board of International Association of Schools of Social Work. He received the Lifetime Achievement in Social Work Education Award from The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and served on NASW’s advisory committee to the Center for Workforce Studies.
