2003 Whitney Young Memorial Lecture
February 20, 2003
The
NASW Foundation and the NASW Black Caucus will host a
special
lecture on Thursday, February 20, 2003 to celebrate the life
and legacy of civil rights leader, social worker, and
past
NASW President, Whitney M. Young
Jr. This year’s keynote address,"Forty
Years of Civil Rights — So What?" will be given by
Dr. William Lawrence Pollard,
President, the University of the District of Columbia.
The
lecture will be held at Gallaudet University’s
Kellogg Conference Center, 800 Florida Avenue, NE, Washington,
DC, from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The lecture is approved
for 3 continuing education credits for social workers by the
Metro, DC Chapter, NASW.
Advance
tickets are $15 through January 22and $25
after January 22. Student tickets are $15. Online
