Ruth Fizdale Program
Guidelines
NASW
chapters are invited to apply for a Fizdale grant to conduct pilot
research projects in social policy.
New in 2010, the NASW Foundation will be using an online process for scholarship, fellowship, NASW Chapter awards and recognition award nominations. Instructions and forms for submitting online materials are coming soon. To get started, you may refer to the information below for eligibility criteria and application requirements.
One
grant, up to $2,500, will be awarded in the 2010 - 2011 program year.
Grant Objectives:
- To support larger research projects that target a specific, developing issue in social policy; To enhance existing human service delivery systems, and;
- To contribute to community life.
Application Requirements
Please submit application materials in the following order with the original documents and four copies:
- Fact sheet (name of chapter, project director/executive director, and supporting team, mailing address, email address, phone and fax numbers);
- Objectives of project;
- Statement of relevance and significance;
- Project design and methodology;
- Itemized budget;
- Expected completion date, and;
- Upon completion of the grant cycle, an evaluation and final report.
Five (5) copies of the grant application must be available for review
by a panel. Grant funds may be used for needs assessment, initial
research findings, and/or as a supplement to ongoing research if
a new or different component is added. This is a one-time grant
award.
