Angela W. Harris, LCSW,BACS, C-SSWS

Angela Wiggins Harris, LCSW-BACS, C-SSWS currently serves as Clinical Strategy & Practice Lead on the National Medicaid Clinical Team with Humana, Inc. Angela leads and develops Behavioral Health (BH) strategy for clinical operations across Humana’s Medicaid markets. Prior to joining Humana, Angela served as the Executive Director of the Office of Student Support & Attendance with NOLA Public Schools & the Recovery School District. In a decentralized system of schools, she oversaw Behavioral Health, Discipline, School Attendance, Juvenile Justice, and Homelessness initiatives. Angela’s social work career also includes owning and managing a private practice (ARW, Inc), mental health advocacy, and juvenile justice reform. Angela is a member of the Governor of Louisiana Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board and Secretary on the Board of Directors for Travis Hill Schools. She currently serves as NASW-LA President-Elect, previously served as Chair for the state annual conference committee for the past 2 years, and the Regional Chair for the New Orleans Region of NASW-LA for four years.
